About the Editor

Hey! I'm Tonie, and here's a little bit about me...

I had always been a book reader growing up, and then I met poetry at the age of eleven and fell in love. My love for poetry matured into all things creative. I had always had a passion for English and took advanced classes that I passed with flying colors. From academic writing, I then began proofreading essays, theses, and dissertations for other people, who then referred me to other people, where I then became a contact for writing services. This led to editing business content such as business plans, creating and editing resumes, and editing corporate documents. This was easy for me, but unfulfilling because my heart was with the creative. I graduated from the University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky where I majored in English, with a focus on editing and creative writing, only sure of one thing, I loved to write and help people write. 

 On my own journey to self-publishing my first two books (a poetry book and memoir), I didn't know what I was doing, how to do it, or who to contact to get help. By the time I was finished, understood, and experienced the process, I had laid the foundation for what is now Kingdom Lyrics. I'm passionate about helping people with their books and improving their writing, and I'm now pleased to assist people in their own journeys to self-publishing.  In the near future, I aim to help upcoming writers perfect their craft and pursue their passion by providing publishing, writing workshops, and scholarships to students.

 I am now an avid writer and skillful poet. When I'm not writing, I'm reading. If I'm not reading, I'm spending time with my family, striving to be the woman, wife, and mother God called and created me to be.  "I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 3:14).
